Once I did add the 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to my recipe, and cut the sugar in half, these were FANTASTIC! I was surprised that even though the coconut oil makes the cookies very sweet, they were still very much a Toll House cookie!

These are so good! I will definitely be making them again and again! I used to make these every year, but I haven't done so in a while. Thanks for posting this, I can't wait to try them again and see how much better my cookies turn out than the ones I make in my grandma's old Toll House recipe!

I have made this recipe for years. I love it. I have not made it in a while though, and I found that the dough was very thick and I had to add two cups of flour just to get it to spread out in the pan. Not good. The coconut oil added a strong coconut flavor to the cookies, and I could barely taste the peanut butter.

I made this for the first time, and they were very good, but I had to add a whole cup of flour to get the dough to spread around. I also added a teensy bit of unsweetened applesauce, because I like a little sweetness in my cookies. A very good recipe, but next time I will try 1/4 cup of sugar and 3/4 cup of flour. One suggestion: I used a #10 cannister to scoop the batter, and the dough and the batter stayed together when lifted. I thought maybe I had over-filled the cannister, but the cannister I was using was a #9 cannister. Does anybody know if this cannister is too big?
