This event has been canceled. In response to the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic is taking the difficult and necessary step to cancel its season of concerts in the area. With a planned expansion of its film and education initiatives, LA Phil and its Board of Directors have opted to suspend the 2020 schedule in the name of the greater good. The Los Angeles Philharmonic-Los Angeles is the premier orchestra in the area for its passion, intensity, devotion to excellence, and commitment to the musical exploration of artists and audiences at every level. Presenting the Festival of Classical Music annually, with performances in the Los Angeles Municipal Auditorium and UCLA Center for the Arts in Parks, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has recently expanded its education initiatives and its series of sold-out performances in public schools, which continues annually providing an important civic conscience linking classical music to our children in the public schools. In its 80th year, the LA Philharmonic will continue its commitment to stimulating passions in all of us, from the initial dream of a centennial jubilee, to the unique concept of its annual Festival of Classical Music. We were delighted to welcome last year’s Coeur du Grat winners, last year’s King of the Blues, Brian Jagde and the Southern Grass Band back in the Popovic Studio for a spectacularly fun performance to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the telethon.
