See Less Wild's Jordan Greenway: Activated off injured reserve Oct 20, 2022 Greenway (upper body) was taken off the injured reserve list by Minnesota on Thursday. Greenway is expected to make his season debut Thursday against Vancouver. Based on Wednesday's practice lines, he'll likely be skating alongside Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno on Thursday.
Thursday night, it will look to finally snap the losing streak when it hits the road to Boston to take on a Bruins team that has won three straight. The Bruins have come out of the pause on fire, as they have downed the Sabres, Red Wings and Devils to improve to 17-10-2. That record has them in fourth place in the Atlantic Division. It is the second time this season the Bruins have won three straight, and Thursday they will look for their first four-game winning streak when they take on the slumping Wild.
Greenway's earliest opportunity to return is now Tuesday in Montreal.... See Less Wild's Jordan Greenway: Departs with upper-body injury Greenway left Thursday's game against Vancouver and won't return due to an upper-body injury. Greenway was playing in his first game of the season after recovering from an upper-body injury. It's not clear if Greenway suffered a reoccurrence of that injury or if this is a new problem. He only logged 2:58 of ice time before he left the contest. He had 10 goals, 27 points, 69 penalty minutes, and 155 hits in 62 games last season....
Zuccarello has gotten off to a red-hot start this season, having racked up four goals, eight points and 19 shots through the first four games of the campaign. He'll continue to feature on Minnesota's top line and No. 1 power-play unit Saturday against the Bruins.... See Less Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Three points in overtime win Kaprizov picked up two assists and the overtime-winning goal in Thursday's 4-3 victory over the Canucks. Despite a sluggish 1-3-0 start for the Wild, Kaprizov has been his usual elite self early on this season, having racked up four goals and eight points through the first four games of the campaign.
See Less Wild's Mason Shaw: Summoned by parent club Shaw was recalled by Minnesota on Friday. Shaw played a pair of games with AHL Iowa, scoring once, before he was recalled to the Wild. He has played four NHL games over the previous two seasons and has yet to pick up a point.... See Less Wild's Vladislav Firstov: Assigned to KHL club The Wild assigned Firstov to Torpedo Nizhny Novogrod of the KHL on Friday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports. Firstov will head to his native Russia following a brief stay with AHL Iowa. The 2019 second-round pick picked up 12 goals and 23 points through 35 games as a junior at the University of Connecticut in 2021-22....
Dumba only had five power-play points in 2021-22 anyways, so him not having a power-play role isn't disastrous, but it does still limit his offensive potential.... See Less Wild's Sam Steel: Scores first goal of season Steel potted a goal on two shots in 10:39 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over Vancouver. Steel has been a solid source of depth scoring for Minnesota early on this year, having picked up two goals through the first four games of the campaign, but his limited role will almost certainly cause his offensive contributions to be sporadic at best going forward.... See Less Wild's Calen Addison: Two helpers in win Addison picked up two assists in 16:04 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 overtime victory over the Canucks.
See Less Wild's Jordan Greenway: Won't play Saturday Greenway (upper body) has been ruled out for Saturday's game in Boston, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Greenway made his season debut Thursday, but it was short-lived after he suffered another injury throwing a hit in the first period. Head coach Dean Evason said this was a new issue from the upper-body injury that previously kept him out for the first week of the season.
