Why does the receiver use less battery when the TX is low power?
I have an extremely limited understanding of electronics, so I apologize in advance if this is a silly question.
I am trying to create a circuit with a microcontroller and a Bluetooth transceiver that transmits data to the MCU over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) using RFCOMM. I need to figure out which parts of the transceiver are the most power-intensive, but I'm not sure what exactly makes up a BLE transceiver.
So far I've only identified two components: the RX and TX. I'm guessing that the RX is the part that is most power-intensive and the TX is the part that draws little or no power (as compared to the RX), and that this design pattern is true for all low-power BLE transceivers. However, I have no idea why this is the case.
